Lindy Kasperski
Lindy Marian Kasperski (October 29, 1950 – April 18, 2014) was a Canadian politician, who represented the constituency of Regina Sherwood in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1995 to 2003. History First elected in the 1995 election, Kasperski was a member of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party caucus until 2001, when he was suspended from the caucus after being charged with criminal fraud. He was cleared of the charges in June 2003 and invited to rejoin the NDP caucus, but as he was facing a difficult nomination contest against four challengers in the redistricted constituency of Regina Walsh Acres, he opted not to rejoin the party. Sandra Morin
Sandra Morin is a Canadian provincial politician. She served as the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the constituency of Regina Walsh Acres from 2003 until 2011, and as Minister of Culture, Youth and Recreation in the government of Lorne Calvert from May 2007 until the government's defeat in the 2007 Saskatchewan general election. Morin herself lost her seat in the 2011 Saskatchewan general election to Saskatchewan Party candidate Warren Steinley. She chose not to run in the 2016 Saskatchewan general election because of her civilian position with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. 1995 Saskatchewan General Election
The 1995 Saskatchewan general election was held on June 21, 1995 to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. The New Democratic Party government of Premier Roy Romanow was re-elected for a second term, although with a reduced majority. The Liberal Party – led by Lynda Haverstock – increased its share of the popular vote; adding 9 seats in the legislature to the two seats it held previously, and became the official opposition.
