Lindbergh Farias
Luiz Lindbergh Farias Filho, commonly known only as Lindbergh Farias (born 8 December 1969), is a Brazilian former student union leader and politician. Lindberg became famous as student leader, specially in 1992, when he was president of the National Union of Students (UNE) and one of the main leaders of the student movement ''Caras-Pintadas'' (''Painted Faces'') against the then president Fernando Collor de Mello, who was his ally before Lindberg's political career. Farias attended Medicine and Law colleges, but never got a degree. After leaving the student movement, he was elect Federal Deputy for two legislatures. He was also elect and re-elect Mayor of Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense. In 2010, Lindbergh was elect Senator for Rio de Janeiro. The Chamber of Deputies ( pt, Câmara dos Deputados) is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current President of the Chamber is the Deputy Arthur Lira ( PP- AL), who was elected on 1 February 2021. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population. Fernando Collor De Mello
Fernando Affonso Collor de Mello (; born 12 August 1949) is a Brazilian politician who served as the 32nd president of Brazil from 1990 to 1992, when he resigned in a failed attempt to stop his impeachment trial by the Brazilian Senate. Collor was the first President democratically elected after the end of the Brazilian military government. He became the youngest president in Brazilian history, taking office at the age of 40. After he resigned from the presidency, the impeachment trial on charges of corruption continued. Collor was found guilty by the Senate and disqualified from holding elected office for eight years (1992–2000). Márcia Angelita Tiburi (born 6 April 1970) is a Brazilian plastic artist, professor of philosophy, literary critic, and writer. Her main areas of research are ethics, aesthetics, and the philosophy of knowledge. The Rio de Janeiro gubernatorial election was held on 5 October 2014 to elect the next governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, a second-round runoff election was held on the 26th of October. Incumbent Governor Luiz Fernando Pezão, who was running for his first full term, was forced into the runoff against Marcelo Crivella but ultimately won. Fernando Henrique Cardoso (; born 18 June 1931), also known by his initials FHC (), is a Brazilian sociologist, professor and politician who served as the 34th president of Brazil from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2002.
