Linda Kohen
Linda Kohen (born 28 October 1923) is an Italian-born Uruguayan painter with a long international career. Biography In 1939, faced with the rejection of Italian racial laws for them, Kohen left Italy with her family and moved to South America. They lived in Buenos Aires and São Paulo and in 1940, the family settled in Uruguay, where Linda began her career. She studied drawing with Pierre Fossay and painting at Taller Torres Garcia with Augusto Torres, José Gurvich and Julio Alpuy. She also went through the workshops of Eduardo Vernazza Eduardo Vernazza (13 October 1910 – 26 May 1991) was a Uruguayan artist and art critic. Punta del Este () is a seaside city and peninsula on the Atlantic Coast in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay. Giorgio Morandi
Giorgio Morandi (July 20, 1890 – June 18, 1964) was an Italian painter and printmaker who specialized in still life. His paintings are noted for their tonal subtlety in depicting simple subjects, which were limited mainly to vases, bottles, bowls, flowers and landscapes. Biography Giorgio Morandi was born in Bologna to Andrea Morandi and Maria Maccaferri. He lived first on Via Lame where his brother Giuseppe and his sister Anna were born. The family then moved to Via Avesella where two other sisters were born, Dina in 1900 and Maria Teresa in 1906. After the death of his father in 1909, the family moved to Via Fondazza and Morandi became the head of the family.
