Lin-J Shell
Wagner Lindsell "Lin-J" Shell Jr. (October 22, 1981 – July 29, 2021) was an American professional football player who was a defensive back in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally signed by the Arena Football League's (AFL) Orlando Predators as a street free agent in 2004. He played college football at Jacksonville. Shell was also a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans VooDoo, Calgary Stampeders (where he helped the team win the Grey Cup), Toronto Argonauts (where he was a 2-time CFL East All-Star), BC Lions, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Subsequent to his all-star career with the CFL, Shell taught physical education at Jean Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Florida and coach Football and Jackson High school. On May 9, 2018, Shell was instrumental in preventing a woman from using her handgun in the school gymnasium following a "social media" brawl. Defensive Back
In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. Among the defensive backs, there are two main types, cornerbacks, which play nearer the line of scrimmage and the sideline, whose main role is to cover the opposing team's wide receivers, and the Safety (gridiron football position), safeties, who play further back near the center of the field, and who act as the last line of defense. COVID-19 Pandemic In Florida
On March 1, 2020, the U.S. state of Florida officially reported its first two COVID-19 cases, in Manatee County, Florida, Manatee and Hillsborough County, Florida, Hillsborough counties. On April 1 Governor of Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis declared a public health emergency. There is evidence, however, that community spread of COVID-19 began in Florida much earlier, perhaps as early as the first week of January, with as many as 171 people in Florida who had shown symptoms now identified with COVID-19, prior to receiving confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. By March 11, the CDC saw evidence to conclude that community spread of the virus had occurred within the state. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
