Limit (song)
"Limit" is the nineteenth single by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on June 22, 2016. It reached number 14 on the Oricon chart and number 19 on ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard''s Japan Hot 100. Overview "Limit" was written to be the opening theme song of the ''Endride'' anime after Luna Sea were approached by its staff. Thus it is the band's first work to be tied to an anime. A 30-second commercial for the single utilizing footage of the song's music video was uploaded to YouTube on May 29. The full video was freely streamed on the band's website for only four hours from 20:00 to 24:00 during a full moon on June 20, 2016. As part of a promotion with the toy company Brokker, each band member had a Lego-like toy modeled after them. The figures served as the basis for a shortened, 3D animated recreation of the music video for "Limit" published on YouTube on September 21. Luna Sea
Luna Sea (stylized as LUNA SEA) is a Japanese Rock music, rock band formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1986. Due to the use of make-up and costumes early in their career and their widespread popularity, they are considered one of the most successful and influential bands in the visual kei movement. Throughout the mid-1990s they used significantly less make-up, and after a one-year break in 1997, came back with a more mainstream alternative rock style and toned down their on-stage attire. , better known by his stage name J, is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as bassist and co-founder of the rock band Luna Sea since 1986. After they disbanded in 2000 he focused on his solo career, for which he performs lead vocals and bass. He rejoined Luna Sea when they reunited in August 2010. , born and better known by his stage name Sugizo, is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, composer and record producer. He is best known as the lead guitarist and violinist of the rock band Luna Sea since 1989. Sugizo started his solo career in 1997 and has since collaborated with a variety of different artists. In 2007 he became a member of the international trance/ world music act Juno Reactor, and of the Japanese rock supergroup S.K.I.N., and in 2009 officially joined the rock band X Japan. ''Luv'' is the ninth studio album by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on December 20, 2017. The album reached number 4 on both the Oricon Albums Chart and ''Billboard Japan''. Overview At their May 5, 2017 concert at the Nippon Budokan, Luna Sea announced that a then untitled new album would be released within the year. Ryuichi also said that the theme of the album is "Love." The album cover was designed by graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN.
