Liliane Aimée Ackermann (''née'' Weil) (1938–2007) was a French microbiologist, Jewish Community pioneer, leader, writer, and lecturer. Early life and education Liliane Ackermann was born on September 3, 1938, in Strasbourg, France, the daughter of Lucien Weil and Béatrice Haas. During World War II, her family took refuge in Voiron, Isère. They would remain there until 1956, when they moved back to Strasbourg. After her Baccalauréat in 1956, she studied at the Faculty of Sciences at the Université Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg, where she obtained her first Ph.D. (in microbiology), in 1974. She later received a second Ph.D., at the Université de Strasbourg (Humanities), in 1999. She married Henri Ackermann, a dentist and a community activist, in 1959. Liliane Chappuis (27 June 1955 in Fribourg – 25 June 2007) was a Swiss politician from the Canton of Fribourg and member of the Swiss National Council (1999–2003 and 2007). Chappuis was elected to the executive of the municipality of Corpataux-Magnedens in 1986. She was mayor of the village since 1996. From 1990 to 1999 was member of the cantonal parliament of Fribourg. Liliane Klein-Lieber (2 June 1924 – 8 July 2020) was a French Resistance member. Biography She became in 1931 a member of the Eclaireuses et Eclaireurs israélites de France (EIF). During the Second World War, she was a social worker in the Grenoble region and was a member of the French Resistance. She found hideouts and provided false papers. During this period, she used the name Lyne Leclerc. She received the "Lion de Bronze" (in English : Bronze Lion) Award in 2006 for her commitment to the service of this movement. Career Montevecchi took her first dance classes at 8 with Pierre Duprez, primo ballerino of the Opera in Paris, France.
