''Like Two Drops of Water'' ( nl, Als twee druppels water) is a 1963 Dutch drama film directed by Fons Rademakers. It is an adaptation of the 1958 novel '' The Darkroom of Damocles'' by Willem Frederik Hermans. Fons Rademakers
Alphonse Marie "Fons" Rademakers (5 September 1920 – 22 February 2007) was a Dutch actor, film director, film producer and screenwriter. His 1960 film '' Makkers Staakt uw Wild Geraas'' was entered into the 11th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear Award. During a career spanning several decades he directed 11 films, including '' The Assault'', which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1986, and ''The Village on the River'', nominated for the same award in 1959. Making him both the first Dutch director to be nominated and win this award. He granted a wide-ranging interview to Radio Netherlands in 1987. He died in 2007 in a Geneva hospital of emphysema, after the life-support machines were switched off at his request. This is a list of submissions to the 36th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. For the 36th Academy Awards, fourteen films were submitted in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Poland and the USSR submitted films to the competition for the first time. Pakistan didn't submit a film again until 2013 with ''Zinda Bhaag'' being submitted. John Van Eyssen
John Van Eyssen (born Matthew John Du Toit Van Eyssen, 19 March 1922 – 13 November 1995) was a South African born actor, agent and film production executive. He moved to Britain following the Second World War, attending the Central School of Speech and Drama. In 1951 and in 1954 he played the role of Lucifer in the York Cycle of Mystery Plays, first revived in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain.
