Liisa Turmann
Liisa Turmann (born December 3, 1990) is an Estonian curler from Järveküla, Estonia. She currently plays third on the Estonian women's curling team skipped by her sister Marie Kaldvee. Career Juniors Turmann played in three European Junior Curling Challenge events during her junior career in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Her best finish came in 2012 when her team, skipped by Helen Nummert finished in fourth with a 5–3 record. Women's While still in juniors, Turmann competed in her first European Curling Championships in 2010 as third for Team Estonia skipped by Küllike Ustav. The team finished seventh in the B Division with a 3–6 record. Turmann did not return to an international competition until the 2018 European Curling Championships as her team, skipped by sister Marie Turmann, won the 2018 Estonian Women's Curling Championship. 2017 European Curling Championships
The 2017 European Curling Championships was held from November 17 to 25 in St Gallen, Switzerland. The Group C competitions was held in May in Andorra. At the conclusion of the championships, the top eight women's teams will go to the 2018 Ford World Women's Curling Championship in North Bay, Ontario, and the top eight men's teams will go to the 2018 World Men's Curling Championship in Las Vegas, United States. Kerli Zirk
Kerli Kõiv (; born 7 February 1987), better known mononymously as Kerli, is an Estonian singer and songwriter. Born in Elva, Kerli entered multiple singing competitions before being signed to Island Records in 2006 by LA Reid. In 2007, she released her debut self-titled extended play and in 2008, released her debut studio album, '' Love Is Dead'', which charted on the ''Billboard'' 200. The lead single from the album, " Walking on Air," charted in many countries and was also featured as the iTunes Store's Single of the Week where it was downloaded over 500,000 times, a record at that time. Marie Turmann
Marie Kaldvee (born 23 January 1995 as Marie Turmann) is an Estonian curler from Järveküla, Estonia. She currently skips the Estonian women's curling team. Career Juniors Turmann played for the Estonian team at the 2012 Youth Winter Olympics, playing third on the team, which finished in last place. In the mixed doubles event, she was paired with Italy's Alessandro Zoppi. They would be eliminated after losing their only game. After playing in five European Junior Curling Challenges Turmann finally qualified for the World Junior Curling Championships in 2015. Turmann would skip the Estonian team there, with teammates Kerli Zirk, Kerli Laidsaulu and Johanna Ehatamm. The team finished the event with a 2–7 round robin record, missing the playoffs. The 2020 World Curling Championships, World Women's Curling Championship (branded as the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship presented by Nature's Bounty for sponsorship reasons) was scheduled to be held from March 14 to 22 at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia, Prince George, Canada. 2021 World Women's Curling Championship
The 2021 World Women's Curling Championship (branded as 2021 LGT World Women's Curling Championship for sponsorship reasons) was held 30 April to 9 May at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. The event was originally awarded to Schaffhausen, Switzerland. In February 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, local authorities withdrew permission to host the event. On 5 March 2021, the championship was moved to Calgary. The 2020 World Qualification Event for the World Curling Championships was held from January 13 to 18 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The competition consisted of sixteen teams divided evenly into men's and women's divisions.
