Ligue Centrale De Hockey
The LCH was a Senior ''AAA'' league that operated between 1978 and 2008 in Québec, Canada. It was a semi-pro league for ex-professional players and for young players coming out of major junior who had not yet found a spot on a professional team. The LCH also acted as a feeder league for the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH). The League used to be strictly amateur but in its last few years of existence it shifted from a senior league to a semi-pro format. Teams played for the Desjardins Cup named after the company that is one of the main sponsors of the LCH. The league champion would advance to the Canadian Senior ''AAA'' national championship(Allan Cup). The League took a hiatus for the 2008-09 season hoping to return for 2009-10 but never came back. Three of its teams went to play in the LNAH and two are still there ( Rivière-du-Loup & Saguenay). Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. The Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH, ''"North American Hockey League"'') is a low-level professional ice hockey league based in the Canadian province of Quebec. Teams in the LNAH compete for the Vertdure Cup. History The league was founded as the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League (QSPHL; French: ''Ligue de hockey semi-professionnelle du Québec'' (''LHSPQ'')) in 1996, and became fully professional and assumed its current name in 2004. It reached its peak in terms of number of teams that season, with ten. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019-20 playoffs were suspended and never concluded; Thetford Assurancia was the regular season champion. Rivière-du-Loup CIMT
Rivière-du-Loup (; 2021 population 20,118) is a small city on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec. The city is the seat for the Rivière-du-Loup Regional County Municipality and the judicial district of Kamouraska. Its one of the largest cities in Bas-Saint-Laurent. History The city was named after the nearby river, whose name means ''Wolf's River'' in French. This name may have come from a native tribe known as "Les Loups" ("The Wolves") or from the many seals, known in French as ''loup-marin'' (sea wolves), once found at the river's mouth. Rivière-du-Loup was established in 1673 as the seigneurie of Sieur Charles-Aubert de la Chesnaye. The community was incorporated as the village of Fraserville, in honour of early Scottish settler Alexander Fraser, in 1850, and became a city in 1910. Clermont is a ''ville'' in the Canadian province of Quebec, and the seat of government for the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality. It is located on the southern banks of the Malbaie River. History Around 1800, the first settlers moved into the area, living primarily of agriculture. Followed by a saw and flour mill, tradeshops, and stores, a settlement grew that was then known as Chute Nairne. Saguenay ( , , ) is a city in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada, on the Saguenay River, about north of Quebec City by overland route. It is about upriver and northwest of Tadoussac, located at the confluence with the St. Lawrence River. Montmagny () is a city in the Montmagny Regional County Municipality within the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. It is the county seat and had a population, as of the Canada 2011 Census, of 11,491. The city is on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River, east of Quebec City, and was founded more than 350 years ago. CIMT-DT, virtual and VHF digital channel 9, is a TVA- affiliated television station licensed to Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada. Owned by Télé Inter-Rives, it is part of a twinstick with Noovo affiliate CFTF-DT (channel 29). Both stations share studios on Rue de la Chute and Rue Frontenac in Rivière-du-Loup, while CIMT-DT's transmitter is located near Chemin du Mont Bleu in Picard. History The station was launched on September 17, 1978. The station is part of a rare "triple-stick", owned by Télé Inter-Rives, which also owns CKRT and CFTF. Télé Inter-Rives also owns the TVA affiliate in Carleton-sur-Mer, CHAU-DT. The latter station picks up the TVA signal from CIMT, and the two stations' logos are shown in promos. Sainte-Marie is a city in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is the seat of the Municipalité régionale de la Nouvelle-Beauce, in Chaudière-Appalaches. The population was 13,134 as of the Canada 2021 Census, and was 95.7% French-speaking as of 2021. It is located south-east of Quebec City, on the Chaudière River.
