Lifeforce Records
Lifeforce Records is a German heavy metal independent record label that specializes in metalcore and death metal. Their roster contains bands such as Confession, This or the Apocalypse, Omnium Gatherum and Last Leaf Down, and they have helped to launch the careers of bands who went on to larger labels, such as Heaven Shall Burn, Between the Buried and Me, Caliban and Trivium. While Lifeforce has signed and continues to sign both European and American artists, they announced in October 2002 that they were going to shift focus away from the latter market following the breakup of Endthisday and Beyond the Sixth Seal, as well as Between the Buried and Me's (who were at the time one of their most successful bands) move from the label to Victory Records. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Death growls and gang vocals are common. 1990s metalcore bands were inspired by hardcore while later metalcore bands were inspired by melodic death metal bands like At the Gates and In Flames. Miseration
Miseration is a Swedish death metal band formed in 2006. Their lyrics primarily deal with themes of inner struggles and religious conflict. The band is one out of a collection of collaborations with both former Crimson Moonlight guitarist Jani Stefanovic and former Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam; for example, both also play with Solution .45. History Miserations' first album, ''Your Demons – Their Angels'', was released 20 September 2008. The band recorded their second album, titled ''The Mirroring Shadow'', at Panic-Room studios with producer Tomas "Plec" Johansson. It was released through Lifeforce Records on 16 November 2009. Nahemah (band)
NahemaH was a Spanish heavy metal band from Alicante, Spain, that was formed in 1997. Since then, they have released four albums. Nahemah released their two final albums via Lifeforce Records. History Nahemah was formed in 1997 in Alicante, Spain. In 1999, their debut album, '' Edens in Communion'', was independently released. In 2001, being signed to Iberian Moon Records, Nahemah released their second album, '' Chrysalis''. The album received positive feedback and was re-released by Concreto Records. Nahemah also were an opening act for bands such as Moonspell and Alastis. During 2003, Nahemah recorded an EP titled ''The Last Human'', which remains unreleased. Mindfield (band)
Mindfield is a thrash metal band that began in Germany in the year 1994. The band started when guitarist Rainer Sickler joined with four other musicians. However the band line-up altered frequently for the following two years, it was then, in 1996 that the band released its first demo titled "Fields Of Vision". During that period, the band toured with other German bands such as Totenmond, Night In Gails, and Crosscut. In 1997 ExamMindfield released an EP titled "The Final Piece". Mindfield was signed to the record label Gutter Records in 1999. Later, in 2000, released their first full-length album entitled "Deviant". Left to Vanish is an American metalcore band formed in 2001 from Philadelphia, PA. With a number of member changes at their initial start, ''Sean Salm'' (age 15 in 2001) is considered to be the main contributor behind LTV's work. They released two albums in a 7-year span. Buried Alive in A Grave of Your Own Mistakes in 2005 on ''End All Music'' and Versus the Throne in July 2008 on ''Lifeforce Records''. Intronaut is an American progressive metal band from Los Angeles, California, that incorporates complex polyrhythms, progressive rock, and jazz. History Intronaut formed in 2004, and their initial line-up included guitarist/vocalist Sacha Dunable, guitarist/vocalist Leon del Muerte, drummer Danny Walker, and bassist Joe Lester. In 2005, Intronaut released a four-track demo entitled '' Null – Demonstration Extended Play Compact Disc''. Hell Within was an American metalcore band formed in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1998. After recording two albums as Twytch, the band changed their name to Hell Within and released ''Asylum of the Human Predator'' through Lifeforce Records in 2005. Cipher System is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tjörn. The band formed under the name Eternal Grief in 1995. They changed their name in 2001 to Cipher System.
