Book
A book is a medium for recording information in the form of writing or images, typically composed of many pages (made of papyrus, parchment, vellum, or paper) bound together and protected by a cover. The technical term for this physical arrangement is '' codex'' (plural, ''codices''). In a restricted sense, a book is a self-sufficient section or part of a longer composition, a usage reflecting that, in antiquity, long works had to be written on several scrolls and each scroll had to be identified by the book it contained. Each part of Aristotle's ''Physics'' is called a ...

The Industry Standard
''The Industry Standard'' is a U.S. news web site dedicated to technology business news, part of ''InfoWorld'', a news website covering technology in general. It is a revival of a weekly magazine based in San Francisco which was published between 1998 and 2001. Print magazine, 1998–2001 ''The Industry Standard'' called itself "the newsmagazine of the Internet economy", and it specialized in areas where business and the Internet overlapped. Jonathan Weber was its editor-in-chief. The magazine also ran a web site, thestandard.com. Beginning in 1999, ''The Standard'' began selling ...
