Azadi Square
The Azadi Square ( fa, میدان آزادی, translit=Meydāne Āzādī, lit=Freedom Square), formerly known as Shahyad Square (Persian: میدان شهیاد ''Meydāne Ŝahyād'' literally means "''Remembrance of heShah Square''"), is a mainly green city square in Tehran, Iran. It hosts as its centerpiece the Azadi Tower. The tower and square were commissioned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, to mark the 2,500th year of the foundation of the Imperial State of Iran. Garachico
Garachico is a Municipio, municipality and town on the northern coast of Tenerife, about 52 km West of the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 50 km from Tenerife North Airport and 67 km from Tenerife South Airport. The town itself nestles below a 500m+ (1500 ft) cliff. The city of Garachico with its port was founded by the Genoan banker Cristóbal de Ponte after the conquest of Tenerife in 1496. The May 5, 1706 Eruption of Trevejo (1706), eruption originating from the northwest rift zone was a major event in the town's history. Prior to then, Garachico was an important port exporting Malvasia, Malmsey Wine and other local produce. Plaza Libertad, formerly known as Plaza Alfonso XII, is a historic urban park in Iloilo City, Philippines. It is considered the site where the flag of the first Philippine Republic was raised in triumph after Spain surrendered Iloilo, the last Spanish capital in the Philippines, to the revolutionary forces led by Gen. Martin Delgado on December 25, 1898. Plaza Libertad is located in front of Iloilo City Hall in Iloilo City Proper and is one of the six district plazas in Iloilo City. The Liberty Square ( ar, ساحة الحرية) is an important square at the Aziziyah district, downtown Aleppo, Syria. Intersected by Yusuf al-Azma street from the south to the north, the square is considered to be the beginning of Qustaki al-Himsi street and the end of Faris al-Khoury street from the east, where the church of Saint Michael the Archangel of the Melkite Greek Catholics is located. Liberty Square ( hu, Szabadság tér) is a public square located in the Lipótváros neighborhood of Budapest, Hungary. The square is a mix of business and residential. The United States Embassy in Hungary and the historicist style headquarters of the Hungarian National Bank abut the west side of the square. Some buildings on the square are designed in the Art Nouveau style. Ignác Alpár designed two of the buildings. The square houses monuments to Ronald Reagan and Harry Hill Bandholtz and a monument to the Soviet liberation of Hungary in World War II from Nazi German occupation.
