The Liaison Squadron of 1st Air Command (''Serbo-Croatian: Eskadrila za vezu 1. vazduhoplovne komande / Ескадрила за везу 1. ваздухопловне команде'') was an aviation squadron of Yugoslav Air Force formed in 1952 at Pančevo airfield as Liaison Squadron of 1st Military district (''Serbo-Croatian: Eskadrila za vezu 1. vojne oblasti / Ескадрила за везу 1. војне области''). Squadron was formed by order from December 17, 1951, on February 1, 1952, as part of 1st Military district . It was equipped with various training and liaison aircraft. The Air Force and Air Defence ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Ратно ваздухопловство и противваздушна одбрана, Ratno vazduhoplovstvo i protivvazdušna odbrana ; abbr. sh-Cyrl-Latn, label=none, separator=/, РВ и ПВО, RV i PVO), was one of three branches of the Yugoslav People's Army, the Yugoslav military. 1st Air Command
The 1st Air Command (''Serbo-Croatian: 1. vazduhoplovna komanda/ 1. ваздухопловна команда'') was a joint unit of the Yugoslav Air Force from 1959 to 1964, serving as the premier air force unit within Yugoslavia. The unit served during a time of uncertainty for the Yugoslav Air Force, in which internal and external forces put political pressure upon the force. This included the utilization of NATO and Soviet aircraft, and the eventual dissolution of the 1st Air Command in 1964. Pančevo (Serbian Cyrillic: Панчево, ; german: Pantschowa; hu, Pancsova; ro, Panciova; sk, Pánčevo) is a city and the administrative center of the South Banat District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. Avro Anson
The Avro Anson is a British twin-engined, multi-role aircraft built by the aircraft manufacturer Avro. The Kaproni Bulgarski KB-11 Fazan ( en, Pheasant) was a 1940s Bulgarian army liaison and utility monoplane built by Kaproni Bulgarski, a subsidiary of the Italian aviation conglomerate Società Italiana Caproni. Development and design The prototype Fazan flew in 1941 as a shoulder-wing monoplane powered by a Alfa Romeo 126 R.C.34 radial engine. It had a fixed conventional landing gear with a tailwheel. Ikarus Kurir
The Ikarus Kurir ( en, Courier) is a single-engined high-wing monoplane designed in Yugoslavia for army liaison and air ambulance work from small airfields. Built in large numbers, it served with the Yugoslav Air Force (JRV) until 1972, when it entered civilian use. Design and development The Kurir was built in a new factory at the old Ikarus site in Zemun, Belgrade, though like all Yugoslav aircraft of the period it was a product of the centralised national design centre. It is sometimes referred to as the Cijan Kurir after one of its designers. Yugoslav Air Force Squadrons
Until the start of the 1959 reorganization of Yugoslav People's Army known under codename "Drvar", each Aviation Regiment of the Yugoslav Air Force comprised three aircraft squadrons and one technical squadron, whose task was to prepare materials and supplies of all three aircraft squadrons.
