Li Bin (diplomat)
Li Bin (; born July 1956) is a former Chinese diplomat. He previously served as the Chinese Ambassador to South Korea, during his term of that office, he gave information to the Government of South Korea, he was placed under investigation by the National Security Commission of the Chinese Communist Party in December 2006. Life and career Li was born in Beijing in July 1956. After graduating from Kim Il-sung University in 1977 he assigned to the Chinese Embassy in North Korea. In 1994 he was promoted to become the Chinese Counsellor to South Korea, a position he held until 1997. Then he was Chinese Minister-Counsellor to North Korea. After this office was terminated in October 2001, he became the Chinese Ambassador to South Korea, serving until August 2005. Wu Dawei ( ; ; born 1946) was the previous special representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs and former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. Personal life Wu was born in 1946 in Heilongjiang province, China. He attended the Beijing Foreign Studies University before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Wu is married and has one daughter. Career Wu's career has largely taken him back and forth between China and Japan. Ning Fukui (; born December 1955) is a Chinese diplomat. Life and career Ning was born in Qinghe County, Hebei, in December 1955. After graduating from Kim Il-sung University in 1977 he assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. He was deputy director of the Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China from 1955 to 2000. Kim Il-sung University
Kim Il-sung University, founded on 1 October 1946, is the first university built in North Korea. It is located on a campus in Pyongyang, the nation's capital. Along with the main academic buildings, the campus contains 10 separate offices, 50 laboratories, libraries, museums, a printing press, an R&D center, dormitories and a hospital. There is a large computer lab, but it has limited internet access. The university is named in honour of Kim Il-sung, the founder and first supreme leader of North Korea. Weihai
Weihai (), formerly called Weihaiwei (), is a prefecture-level city and major seaport in easternmost Shandong province. It borders Yantai to the west and the Yellow Sea to the east, and is the closest Chinese city to South Korea. Weihai's population was 2,804,771 as of the 2020 Chinese census, of whom 1,164,730 lived in the current built-up (''or metro'') area of (Huancui District) even though Wendeng district to the south with 563,529 inhabitants is soon being conurbated.
