Levan Patsatsia ( ka, ლევან ფაცაცია) (born September 24, 1988) is a former Georgian basketball player for the Georgian national team, where he participated at the EuroBasket 2015. EuroBasket 2015
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. The next five teams (, , , and the ) advanced to the World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. and later qualified due to Serbia and Italy hosting two of the Olympic qualifying tournaments while also qualified as an invitee. Georgia National Basketball Team
The Georgia men's national basketball team ( ka, საქართველოს ეროვნული საკალათბურთო ნაკრები) represents the country of Georgia in international basketball matches, and is controlled by the Georgian Basketball Federation. Georgia became a member of FIBA in 1992, after they gained independence from the Soviet Union. The national team played their first official match against Poland in 1995. Georgia's accomplishments on the international stage have been clinching qualification to the European Basketball Championship five times. Their best result came at their debut trip to the tournament in 2011.
