Lethe (genus)
''Lethe'' is a butterfly genus from the subfamily Satyrinae in the family Nymphalidae. The genus was erected by Jacob Hübner in 1819. It includes the treebrowns, woodbrowns, foresters and their relatives. The species in the genus ''Lethe'' occur in temperate-tropical southern and eastern Asia, up to Indonesia and in North America. Jacob Hübner
Jacob Hübner (20 June 1761 – 13 September 1826, in Augsburg) was a German entomologist. He was the author of ''Sammlung Europäischer Schmetterlinge'' (1796–1805), a founding work of entomology. ''Lethe confusa'', the banded treebrown, is a species of butterfly belonging to the satyr family that is found mainly in Southeast Asia and in parts of South Asia.
