''Let It Go'' is the sixth studio album from heavy metal band Galactic Cowboys. It was released on June 20, 2000. Notes * Several of the songs on this album were originally written by Monty Colvin for a solo project, but were used instead on this album, since they were appropriate for the Galactic Cowboys style. * The boy on the cover of this album is the son of Donovan White, who played guitar on the Crunchy album ''All Day Sucker''. *The album has lead vocal contributions from all members: Ben Huggins, Wally Farkas and Monty Colvin. *Former drummer Alan Doss mixed the album, and contributed some backing vocals. *King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill played most of the drums on the album. Galactic Cowboys
Galactic Cowboys are an American heavy metal band based in Houston, Texas. They combine progressive metal with a vocal style influenced by The Beatles and the heavy playing style of thrash bands such as Anthrax. They have been described as "possibly the most melodic metal band ever to exist in Christian or general markets." Although the band members are Christians, they did not consider Galactic Cowboys to be a Christian band. The band has toured with prominent hard rock and metal acts such as Anthrax, Dream Theater, King's X and Overkill. Despite their general lack of commercial success, the band has garnered a cult following throughout its existence. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Progressive Rock

King's X
King's X is an American rock band that originated in 1979 in Springfield, Missouri. They were first called The Edge and later became Sneak Preview before settling on its current name in 1985. The band's current lineup has remained intact for more than three decades, consisting of vocalist and bassist Doug Pinnick, drummer Jerry Gaskill and guitarist Ty Tabor. Their music combines progressive metal, funk and soul with vocal arrangements influenced by gospel, blues, and British Invasion rock groups. Jerry Gaskill
Jerry Wayne Gaskill (born December 27, 1957) is an American Rock music, rock musician who is the drummer for King's X. History Gaskill has been interested in making music and playing drums for as long as he can remember. His father bought him his first drum, a snare, at the age of 4. From there, he pieced together a full kit. He grew up in a very musical family with both his dad and brother being guitar players. The three actually started an all-instrumental band called ''Jerry and the Knights''. Gaskill played his first bar gig when he was seven years old with this group and was paid $2 for his efforts. ''Jerry and the Knights'' played at different functions such as talent shows, wedding receptions, parties and so on until his mid-teens.
