Lesslie Viguerie
Lesslie Clay Viguerie is an American attorney and career diplomat who serves as the United States ambassador to Kyrgyzstan since December 2022. Education Viguerie earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and affairs from George Washington University in 1982 and a Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. Career Viguerie is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, with the rank of minister-counselor. He serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Central Asian and Pakistan affairs in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs. Previously, he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and served as minister-counselor for political affairs at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India. United States Ambassador To Kyrgyzstan
This is a list of ambassadors of the United States to Kyrgyzstan. Until 1991 the Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic had been a constituent SSR of the Soviet Union. Upon the breakup of the USSR, the Supreme Soviet of Kyrgyzstan declared itself independent of the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991 and renamed itself the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The United States recognized Kyrgyzstan on December 26, 1991. An embassy was established in the capital, Bishkek, on February 1, 1992, with Edmund McWilliams as Chargé d'Affaires ''ad interim''. Relations between the United States and Kyrgyzstan have been continuous since that time. The U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan is located in Bishkek. The District of Columbia Bar (DCB) is the mandatory bar association of the District of Columbia. It administers the admissions, licensing, and discipline functions for lawyers licensed to practice in the District. It is to be distinguished from the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, which is a voluntary bar. History Congress first established judicial courts for the District of Columbia in an act of February 27, 1801, but it wasn't until 1871 that the Bar Association of the District of Columbia formed as a voluntary association to support lawyers practicing in those courts. A Foreign Service Officer (FSO) is a commissioned member of the United States Foreign Service. Foreign Service Officers formulate and implement the foreign policy of the United States. Sadyr Nurgojoyevich Japarov (sometimes Zhaparov) (; ky, Садыр Нургожо уулу Жапаров, translit=Sadyr Nurghozho uulu Zhaparov; born 6 December 1968) is a Kyrgyz politician who has served as the president of Kyrgyzstan since 28 January 2021. In parliamentary procedure, a voice vote (from the Latin ''viva voce'', meaning "live voice") or acclamation is a voting method in deliberative assemblies (such as legislatures) in which a group vote is taken on a topic or motion by responding vocally. The voice vote is considered the simplest and quickest of voting methods used by deliberative assemblies.
