History Les Halles D'Anjou started as a farmer's market in 1981, and was a common public place for families to gather. It had rides for children to pass the time while their parents shopped. Anjou () is a borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal. Prior to its 2002 merger it was an independent city. Although it is no longer an independent city, it is still commonly known as known as ''Ville d'Anjou''. Geography The borough is located in the eastern end of the island of Montreal. The borough largely retained its former municipality logo, although the borough's logo is used on fleet vehicles without Montreal's logo. Galeries d'Anjou (formerly "CF Galeries d'Anjou") is a shopping mall located in the borough of Anjou in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Major tenants include Hudson's Bay, Simons, The Brick, Saks Off 5th, Winners and Sports Experts/Atmosphere. In addition to the main indoor shopping centre, Galeries d'Anjou has several stores around its parking lot including Best Buy and Rona l'Entrepôt. Dollarama is a Canadian dollar store retail chain headquartered in Montreal. Since 2009 it is Canada's largest retailer of items for five dollars or less.
