Les Chapple
Leslie Richard Chapple (9 November 1898 – 23 January 1982) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Chapple was already 27 when he began his Footscray career, having previously played for Eaglehawk in the Bendigo Football League, before moving to Melbourne for work reasons. Mitiamo, Victoria
Mitiamo is a town in northern Victoria, Australia. It is in the Shire of Loddon, north of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2016 census, Mitiamo had a population of 117. The Eaglehawk Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the town of Eaglehawk, Victoria and have competed in every BFL season since the league began in 1880, with the exception of 1904. Eaglehawk teams currently compete in the Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL). Eaglehawk drew level with Sandhurst in 2007 when they won their 26th premiership. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Allan Hopkins
Allan Hopkins (24 May 1904 – 2 July 2001) was an Australian rules footballer in the (then) Victorian Football League. Football He started off his career with Footscray Football Club before they joined the Victorian Football League (VFL) in 1925. He had played in the club's 1923 and 1924 premiership sides in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). A brilliant centreman, he was awarded the Brownlow Medal retrospectively in 1989 for the 1930 season while playing with the Footscray Bulldogs, and won the Bulldogs' best and fairest in 1931. Yarraville Football Club
Yarraville Football Club was an Australian rules football club founded in 1903 and played in the VJFA until 1927. In 1928, the club joined the Victorian Football Association where it played until 1984 when the club went into recess. In 1996, the Kingsville Football Club in the Western Region Football League who by this time had taken over the Yarraville ground changed their name to Yarraville.
