Les Champs Libres
Les Champs Libres (literally ''The Free Fields'') is a cultural center in Rennes, France hosting the Library of Rennes Métropole, the Museum of Brittany, the ''Espace des sciences'' (and its planetarium), and the ''Cantine numérique rennaise''. There are also a conference hall and an exhibition room. Les Champs Libres opened in 2006, and is located in the center of Rennes near the railway station. Museum Of Brittany
The Brittany Museum () is a social history museum located in the Champs Libres cultural centre of Rennes, France. Originally structured as an archeology and ethnology museum, it is now a museum regional history and society – focusing on the conservation, study, and presentation of the history of Brittany and Breton heritage from prehistory to the present day. The provenance of the first items in the collections are from confiscations in 1794 during the French Revolution. The museum has been located in various places over time, notably housed alongside the Museum of Fine Arts of Rennes since 1815 in what was later named the Palais universitaire de Rennes. it moved to its present site in 2006. Gare De Rennes
Rennes station ( French: ''Gare de Rennes'') is situated in the town centre of Rennes, France. It is situated on the Paris–Brest, Rennes–Saint-Malo and the Rennes–Redon railways. The station at Rennes was opened in 1857, and was situated a significant walking distance from the city centre. However, since that date the town has expanded and now the station lies in the central part of the city. It has access to Paris on the TGV, a two-hour trip; and serves Brittany with regular trains to Brest, Lannion, Nantes, Quimper and Saint-Malo. Christian De Portzamparc
Christian de Portzamparc (; born 5 May 1944) is a French architect and urbanist. He graduated from the École Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1970 and has since been noted for his bold designs and artistic touch; his projects reflect a sensibility to their environment and to urbanism that is a founding principle of his work. In 1994 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize. Life and career De Portzamparc was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1944, when that country was a French protectorate, to a family of Breton noble descent. He began studying architecture in 1962 at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he was influenced by professors Eugène Beaudouin, who "encouraged his taste for formal expressionism", and George Candilis, who "emphasized systematic work on grids and networks."
