The Leputing () is a restaurant in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The restaurant building used to be the dormitory used by the officials of Forestry Bureau of the Japanese government constructed in the 1920s. In 2013, the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Taipei City Government appointed Lead Jade Life & Culture to manage the abandoned building. Restoration works then commenced for 1.5 years. Architecture The 1-story restaurant building was constructed with Nishikicho Japanese-style architecture. It spreads over an area of 600 m2. Transportation The restaurant is accessible within walking distance north from Guting Station of Taipei Metro. Guting Metro Station
Guting (, formerly transliterated as Kuting Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. The defunct Hsintien line also had a station of the same name. However, its location is not the same as the current station. Station overview The station is a three-level, underground structure with two island platforms and nine exits. The two platforms are stacked, allowing for cross-platform interchange between the Songshan–Xindian line and the Zhonghe–Xinlu line. Public art at the station is titled "Chance of Meeting" and features 12 face masks representing contrasts such as day and night, noisy and quiet, time and space, etc. It was selected by international competition and cost NT$4,999,000. Taipei City Government
The Taipei City Government (TCG) is the municipal government of Taipei. History The Taihoku City Government was founded on 10 October 1920 in Taihoku Prefecture during Japanese colonial rule. The original city hall was located at the site of the Taihoku City Hall (modern-day Zhongshan Hall) in Zhongzheng District. Taiwan Under Japanese Rule
