Leppävaara station ( fi, Leppävaaran rautatieasema, sv, Alberga järnvägsstation) is a railway station located in Leppävaara, a district of the city of Espoo in Finland. It is located about to the northwest of Helsinki Central. History Near the construction site of the Rantarata line was the financial building of the Alberga Manor. In 1905, the municipality of Espoo sought permission to build a railway stop in place of the manor, but this permission was denied. Espoon keskus (Finnish for ''Espoo Centre'', sv, Esbo centrum) is the central district of Espoo, the second biggest city of Finland and the administrative centre with the city hall of Espoo. The areas of Kiltakallio, Kirkkojärvi, Saarniraivio, Suna, Suvela and Tuomarila belong to Espoon keskus. To the east, Espoon keskus borders the city of Kauniainen, an enclave within the city of Espoo. Espoo railway station ( fi, Espoon rautatieasema, sv, Esbo järnvägstation) is a railway station in the district of Espoon keskus in the city of Espoo, Finland. It is between the stations of Tuomarila and Kauklahti, about from the Helsinki Central railway station. Before October 25, 2015, Espoo was the station in Espoo city that also served long-distance trains, but since then Leppävaara railway station has had that role in Espoo. The old Espoo station was built in 1903 according to plans by the architect Bruno Granholm. The station was expanded in 1909. The station building has many ornamental details. The station acted as the Espoo station building from 1903 to 1981, and the post office was also moved to the station as soon as it was finished, when the offices of the stationmaster and post officer were combined. Turku Central Station
Turku Central Station (, ) is a railway station in the VII District of Turku, Finland. It has VR services to Helsinki and towards Joensuu (most terminate in Tampere or Pieksämäki). The station serves approximately a million passengers annually. The railway station was opened in 1876, together with the newly built railway between Turku and Tampere, in a celebration attended by the future Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Services were at first only to Tampere and Toijala, and the significance of railways was rather minor. The Sm3 ''Pendolino'' (originally branded as Pendolino S220, and usually referred to simply as the Pendolino) is a class of high-speed body-tilting trains operated by VR Group. It is a member of the Pendolino train family; its design is based on the ETR 460. The first two trainsets were assembled in Finland by Rautaruukki- Transtech in the mid-1990s. The rest of the series of eighteen EMUs were built by Fiat Ferroviaria (later Alstom) between 2000 and 2006. The trains serve most of Finland's major cities such as Helsinki, Turku, Oulu and Joensuu with a maximum speed of , although this speed is only attained between Kerava and Lahti.
