Lepanto Building
The Lepanto Building, (also known as the B.A. Lepanto Building or Bank of America Lepanto Building), is a 20-storey office building in Paseo de Roxas in Makati City. It was inaugurated in 1978 and was designed by distinguished architect Gabriel Formoso. History The Lepanto Building is one of the earliest buildings in the Makati Central Business District. Built along Paseo de Roxas in the early 1970s, beside the now demolished Doña Narcisa de Leon Building (also by Formoso), the building was designed for the Philippine headquarters of the Bank of America and the Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company. Architecture and design The Lepanto Building was a product of Filipino architect Gabriel Formoso (under his firm GF & Partners Architects), known for his distinctive high-arch design inspired by Spanish architecture, and his preference for the use of adobe walls. Paseo De Roxas
Paseo de Roxas is a prime commercial artery in the Makati Central Business District of Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a two- to six-lane avenue that cuts through the middle of the business district connecting San Lorenzo Village in the west to Bel-Air Village in the east. Starting at its western terminus at Antonio S. Arnaiz Avenue, Paseo de Roxas crosses into Legaspi Village passing by the Greenbelt mall complex, the Asian Institute of Management, as well as several low to mid rise office and residential towers. As it passes by Salcedo Village east of Ayala Avenue, the buildings give way to high rises on the north side and the entire length of the Ayala Triangle Gardens on the south. Past the intersection with Makati Avenue, Paseo de Roxas skirts the northern side of Urdaneta Village. The Makati Central Business District (Makati CBD), is a financial and central business district in the Philippines located in the heart of Makati in Metro Manila. It is politically known as "Central Cluster" in the West District of Makati. It is different from the Makati civic center known as "Makati Poblacion" which is situated at the northeast portion of the district. It is bounded by EDSA, Gil Puyat Avenue, Arnaiz Avenue, and Chino Roces Avenue. The whole district occupies barangays of San Antonio, San Lorenzo, Bel-Air, and Urdaneta.
