Leonids Tambijevs
Leonīds Tambijevs (born September 26, 1970 in Riga, Soviet Union) is a former professional ice hockey left winger, currently serving as the head coach of Admiral Vladivostok in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career Tambijevs began his career with the Dinamo Riga youth team. As a junior he played with several Latvian teams. He debuted at the USSR Tier III level with RASMS-Energo, but soon joined USSR top level team Leningrad SKA for the 1990/1991 season. He then returned to Riga where had played until 1995 with ex-USSR league premier level teams Stars Riga and Pardaugava Riga. After the disbanding of Riga premier league teams in 1995, Tambijevs moved abroad and played with Denmark team Hvidovre IK. A career highpoint includes a spot with Finnish SM-liiga at Rauma Lukko. Finnish National Men's Ice Hockey Team
The Finnish men's national ice hockey team, nickname ''Leijonat / Lejonen'' ("The Lions" in Finnish and Swedish), as it is called in Finland, is governed by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association. Latvian National Ice Hockey Team
The Latvian men's national ice hockey team represents Latvia in international ice hockey. The team is ranked 10th in the world by IIHF as of 2019. The team is controlled by the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation. Their best ever finish at the World Championships was 7th place in 1997, 2004 and 2009. Italian Hockey League - Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925. They are conducted under the authority of the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG). The league initially merged with the Inter-National League to become the Alps Hockey League in 2016. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. The name of the league has changed many times, but is being sponsored by Dansk Metal and therefore got the name Metalligaen. The SM-liiga (marketed as just Liiga from 2013 on), (Finnish for ''League'') colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. It is one of the six founding leagues of the Champions Hockey League and currently allocated five spots - the maximum number - based on success in previous editions. It was created in 1975 to replace the SM-sarja, which was fundamentally an amateur league.
