Lennart Van Der Linden
Lennart van der Linden (born 4 November 1983) is a Dutch politician and a member of the Senate of the Netherlands. Van der Linden was the Alderman of Barendrecht for the localist ''Echt voor Barendrecht'' (Really for Barendrecht) political party and served in this role until 2018. He became installed as a Senator for the Forum for Democracy party in 2019. He subsequently served as vice-chairman of the FvD Senate faction and was a member of the party's executive board. He became acting chairman of the party after Thierry Baudet temporarily stood down following several controversies and allegations. Following an internal referendum in the party which saw Baudet return as FvD leader, Van der Linden announced he would step down from the FvD's board and reconsider his future in the party. Senate (Netherlands)
The Senate ( or simply ' , literally "First Chamber of the States General", or sometimes ' ) is the upper house of the States General, the legislature of the Netherlands. Its 75 members are elected on lists by the members of the twelve States-Provincial and four electoral colleges for the Senate every four years, within three months of the provincial elections. All provinces and colleges have different electoral weight depending on their population. Members of the Senate tend to be veteran or part-time politicians at the national level, often having other roles. Barendrecht () is a town and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, near Rotterdam, South Holland. The municipality had a population of in , and covers an area of of which is water. The municipality of Barendrecht also includes Barendrecht-Carnisselande and Smitshoek. JA21 (, backronym for Juiste Antwoord 2021, or 'Right Answer 2021') is a political party in the Netherlands, currently active in the Senate as the Nanninga Group (). It was founded in December 2020 by Joost Eerdmans and Annabel Nanninga after leaving Forum for Democracy on 26 November 2020. The party participated in the general election on 17 March 2021. Thierry Henri Philippe Baudet (; born 28 January 1983) is a Dutch far-right politician, author and self-declared conspiracy theorist. He is the founder and leader of Forum for Democracy (FvD), and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2017. He also serves as the party's parliamentary leader. He is a controversial politician due to his political views, his promotion of conspiracy theories and disinformation, and his use of personal attacks against his opponents.
