Len Worley
Leonard Francis Worley (born 26 June 1937) is a former amateur footballer who played for Wycombe Wanderers, Charlton Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur, Chesham United, Wealdstone, Slough Town, Hayes and represented England at amateur level on seven occasions. Playing career Worley began his career with Wycombe Wanderers as a sixteen-year-old in 1954. The right winger became known as the "''Stanley Matthews of amateur football'' " and dedicated much of his career to the Buckinghamshire club. Like his namesake his dribbling skills coupled with accurate crosses helped the club to two Isthmian League titles in 1955–56 and 1956–57. His two-goal display in the FA Amateur Cup semi-final at Highbury took the Loakes Park club to the 1956–57 final. Worley joined Charlton Athletic as an amateur in October 1956 and played one senior match for the Valley based team. He returned to Wycombe Wanderers before joining Tottenham Hotspur. Chalfont St Peter
Chalfont St Peter is a large village and civil parish in southeastern Buckinghamshire, England. It is in a group of villages called The Chalfonts which also includes Chalfont St Giles and Little Chalfont. The villages lie between High Wycombe and Rickmansworth. FA Amateur Cup
The FA Amateur Cup was an English football competition for amateur clubs. It commenced in 1893 and ended in 1974 when the Football Association abolished official amateur status. History Following the legalisation of professionalism within football, professional teams quickly came to dominate the sport's main national knock-out tournament, the FA Cup. In response to this, the committee of the country's oldest club, Sheffield F.C., suggested in 1892 the organisation of a separate national cup solely for amateur teams, and even offered to pay for the trophy itself. Adams Park
Adams Park is an association football stadium in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. Built in 1990, it is the home ground of the local Wycombe Wanderers in League One. It was also leased from 2002 to 2014 to the rugby union club London Wasps from Aviva Premiership, and from 2016 to 2020 to the Reading F.C. Women football club. Terry Medwin
Terence Cameron Medwin (born 25 September 1932 in Swansea, Glamorgan) is a Welsh former international footballer who played as a winger. Club career Medwin made his debut for his 'home town' team Swansea Town in 1951–52 and went on to make 148 Football League appearances for the Swans. Medwin moved to Tottenham Hotspur for £25,000 in May 1956. He scored twice on his debut in a 4–1 victory over Preston North End at Deepdale in August 1956. And Medwin played for Spurs until 1963 when a broken leg forced his early retirement. During this period he scored 72 goals in 215 matches in all competitions and helped the club win the Double in 1960–61, and he also appeared for them in the victorious 1962 FA Cup Final.
