Lemlands Idrottsförening or Lemlands IF is a Finnish sports club situated in Lemland in Åland. The club is best known for its football section. Lemlands IF is competing in the Swedish Football Division 7. Wilhelm Ingves, a striker of the Finnish Premier Division outfit IFK Mariehamn, is a former youth player of Lemlands IF. The women's football section of Lemlands IF merged with IF Finströms Kamraterna in 2004. Swedish Football Division 7
Division 7 is the ninth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 47 sections with 9 to 12 football teams in each. The competition There are 47 groups of 10 to 12 teams each representing a local geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 18 to 22 games depending on the number of teams. The top team in each Division 7 group is promoted to Division 6 and the second placed teams may also be promoted or participate in the promotion/relegation play-offs. Wilhelm Ingves
Wilhelm Ingves (born 10 January 1990) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a striker. Career IFK Mariehamn Ingves scored his first league goal in his first ever league appearance on 4 May 2008 against MyPa. By the end of June 2008, he had already established himself as a first team regular in both his club side and the Finnish U-19 national team. Ingves was dubbed "Lemlands Ronaldo" by fans of IFK Mariehamn due to his entertaining style of play and scoring ability, Lemland being the municipality he's from. In August 2008, Ingves was offered a contract by Italian club Ascoli Calcio, which he turned down because he wanted to help his current club secure the contract for the next season's Premier Division. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. IFK Mariehamn is an Ålandic football club based in Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands. It plays in the Finnish Premier Division (''Veikkausliiga''). Åland United is a Finnish women's football club based in Lemland, Åland. They compete in the Kansallinen Liiga, the premier women's football league in Finland.
