Lela Bliss
Lela Bliss (May 11, 1896 – May 15, 1980) was an American actress. She made her first silent film, '' Pretty Mrs. Smith'', in 1915 and appeared in at least over 40 movies until the 1960s. Career Bliss appeared in supporting roles and bit parts in Hollywood films such as '' The Dark Mirror'' (1946), ''Miracle on 34th Street'' (1947) and ''Intruder in the Dust'' (1949). She often played mothers, neighbours or society women. From the 1950s on, she also appeared frequently on popular television shows including ''My Little Margie'' (as Trixie Wilson, the mother of Margie's boyfriend, in the 1952 episode "Vern's Chums"), ''The Twilight Zone,'' ''Maverick,'' ''Mister Ed'' and ''The Addams Family''. The Beverly Hills Playhouse is an acting school with theaters and training facilities in Beverly Hills, California, and also in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City. It is one of the oldest acting schools and theatres in Los Angeles County, California. It is located at 254 South Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. ''Pepe'' is a 1960 American musical comedy film starring Cantinflas in the title role, directed by George Sidney. The film contained a multitude of cameo appearances, attempting to replicate the success of Cantiflas' American debut ''Around the World in 80 Days''. The film received generally unfavorable reviews from critics and failed to match the box-office success of his previous American film. Powerful nationwide columnist Regina Forbes decides to interview Mike just before a race, and becomes annoyed when he is rather brusque with her. At the Newark track, Mike and popular competitor Joe Youghal fight for the lead. When a car they are about to lap crashes in front of them, Mike safely drives around it on the inside, forcing Joe to try to go outside. The result is a three car wreck in which Youghal is killed. In her column the next day, Regina blames Mike for Joe's death and brings up a prior racing fatality involving him.
