Leighton Glynn
Leighton Glynn is a Gaelic football and hurling player from County Wicklow in Ireland. He was born and raised in Glenealy, County Wicklow. He has represented the Wicklow senior GAA teams in both football and hurling. At club level, he plays hurling for Glenealy and football for Rathnew. Playing career Club In December 2001, Leighton won a Leinster Senior Club Championship with Rathnew when they defeated a Na Fianna team that included Kieran McGeeney and Jason Sherlock after extra time in a replay. The first match which ended in a draw saw Leighton spring from the bench with Rathnew behind to score a point before Mark Doyle levelled to set up a replay. In the replay Leighton was named as corner back alongside current Wicklow full back Damian Power as Rathnew made history in capturing the title for the first time in their history in a score of 2-16 to 1-10 after extra time. Glenealy, County Wicklow
Glenealy () is a village west of Wicklow Town, in County Wicklow, on the R752 road (Ireland), R752 road. The Dublin–Rosslare Europort, Rosslare railway line also passes through the village. Since the extension of the N11 road (Ireland), N11 dual-carriageway from Dublin to within of the village in 2004, it has been undergoing population growth, attracting people commuting to Dublin. In the 20 years between the 1996 and 2016 census, the village population grew from 383 to 694 people. The village has a school, pub and a small shop known to the locals as the 'yellow shop'. Mick O'Dwyer
Michael O'Dwyer (born 9 June 1936) is an Irish retired Gaelic football manager and former player. He most famously managed the senior Kerry county team between 1974 and 1989, during which time he became the county's longest-serving manager and most successful in terms of major titles won. O'Dwyer is regarded as the greatest manager in the history of the game. He is one of only three men to manage five different counties (he was preceded in reaching this total by Mickey Moran in 2008 and emulated by John Maughan in 2018). Martin Breheny has described him as "the ultimate symbol of the outside manager". Dual player or dual star is a term used in Hiberno-English to describe someone who competes in multiple sports — for example, in Victorian Ireland, cricket and hurling. The term today in Gaelic games typically describes a male player who plays both Gaelic football and hurling or, if a female player, a player of ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. John Evans (Gaelic Football)
John Evans is a Gaelic football manager. He has managed three senior inter-county teams: Tipperary, Roscommon and Wicklow. Evans was the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship winning manager with Laune Rangers in 1996. Career Evans is from Killorglin, County Kerry. Before taking to inter-county management, he managed his local Laune Rangers team from the 1980s till the 2000s. He led them to the Kerry Championship in 1993 beating Annascaul, 1995 beating East Kerry and made it two in a row in 1996 by overcoming West Kerry. He led the Rangers to Munster Senior Club Football Championships in 1995 beating Cork side Clonakilty and in 1996 beating Tipperary side Moyle Rovers. Croke Park ( ga, Páirc an Chrócaigh, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals.
