Leif Roar Falkum
Leif Roar Falkum (born 23 June 1949) is a retired Norwegian high jumper. He represented IK Tjalve during his active career. He finished fifteenth at the 1973 European Indoor Championships, sixth at the 1974 European Championships, fifth at the 1976 European Indoor Championships and fourteenth at the 1976 Summer Olympics. He became Norwegian champion in the years 1971-1974 and 1976. His personal best jump was 2.20 metres, achieved in August 1976 in Molde. After his retirement from active sports he became a known psychiatrist

High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Since ancient times, competitors have introduced increasingly effective techniques to arrive at the current form, and the current universally preferred method is the Fosbury Flop, in which athletes run towards the bar and leap head first with their back to the bar. The discipline is, alongside the pole vault, one of two vertical clearance events in the Olympic athletics program. It is contested at the World Championships in Athletics and the World Athletics Indoor Championships, and is a common occurrence at track and field meets. Molde () is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Romsdal. It is located on the Romsdal Peninsula, surrounding the Fannefjord and Moldefjord.
