Leif Blomberg
Leif Blomberg (15 February 1941–2 March 1998) was a politician and the head of Swedish Metal Workers' Confederation. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party. He held several government posts. Biography Blomberg was born in Enköping on 15 February 1941. He was the chairman of the Swedish Metal Workers' Confederation in the period 1982–1993. Shortly after his appointment as the chairman of the confederation it abandoned the main agreements of the Swedish Trade Union allies in 1983. At the beginning the 1990s Blomberg was a member of the advisory committee on the European Community formed by the Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson. In 1994 Blomberg was appointed the minister for immigration to the cabinet led by Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson. ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries. History and profile The newspaper was founded by Lars Johan Hierta in December 1830 under the name of ''Aftonbladet i Stockholm'' during the modernization of Sweden. Often critical and oppositional, the paper was repeatedly banned from publishing. However, Hierta circumvented the bans by constantly reviving the paper under slightly modified names, as, legally speaking, a new publication. Thus, on 16 February 1835, he issued the first edition of New Aftonbladet, which would – after yet another ban – be followed by Newer Aftonbladet, in turn followed by Fourth Aftonbladet, Fifth Aftonbladet, and so on. Göran Persson
Hans Göran Persson (; born 20 January 1949) is a Swedish politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1996 to 2006 and leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 1996 to 2007. Persson was first elected to the Swedish Parliament in 1979, representing Södermanland County but left in 1985 to serve as Municipal Commissioner of Katrineholm, which he did from 1985 to 1989. In 1991, he was re-elected to the Parliament and represented the same constituency. He served as Minister for Schools from 1989 to 1991 in Ingvar Carlsson's first and second cabinets. From 1994 to 1996, Persson served as Minister for Finance in Carlsson's third cabinet. Enköping
Enköping is a locality and the seat of Enköping Municipality, Uppsala County, Sweden with 30,000 inhabitants in 2018. Geography Enköping is situated near Lake Mälaren, about 78 km west of Stockholm.
