The Minister plenipotentiary (Netherlands), Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao ( nl, Gevolmachtigd Minister van Curaçao) represents the constituent country ( nl, land) of Curaçao in the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The current Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao is Carlson Manuel. The Minister Plenipotentiary and his cabinet are seated in the "Curaçaohuis" (Curaçao House) in The Hague (which was the location of the Antillenhuis before the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles). Gilmar Simon Pisas (born 28 February 1971) is a Curaçaoan politician and current Prime Minister of Curaçao, serving since 14 June 2021. Lucille Andrea George-Wout (born 29 February 1950) is a Curaçaoan politician currently serving as the second governor of Curaçao since 4 November 2013. Political career George-Wout was a member of parliament for the Partido MAN in the Island Council of Curaçao in the early 1990s. As a politician for the Party for the Restructured Antilles (PAR), she was speaker of the Parliament of the Netherlands Antilles from 1994 to 1998. Eunice M.D. Eisden (born 22 September 1961) is a Curaçaoan politician. She was Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao between 23 December 2016 and 13 April 2017. She was succeeded by Leendert Rojer. 2017 Curaçao General Election
Early general elections were held in Curaçao on 28 April 2017 after the fall of the government led by Hensley Koeiman. Background The previous general elections in 2016 resulted in the formation of a four-party coalition government consisting of MAN, the Real Alternative Party (PAR), the National People's Party (PNP) and Sovereign People (PS), headed by Hensley Koeiman of MAN. However, the PS withdrew from the coalition on 11 February 2017, causing it to lose its majority. Prime Minister Koeiman subsequently submitted his resignation to the governor.
