Tuffy Leemans
Alphonse Emil "Tuffy" Leemans (November 12, 1912 – January 19, 1979) was an American football fullback and halfback who played on both offense and defense. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978 and was named in 1969 to the NFL 1930s All-Decade Team. A native of Superior, Wisconsin, Leemans played college football for Oregon's freshman team in 1932 and for George Washington from 1933 to 1935. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the 1936 NFL Draft and played eight years for the Giants from 1936 to 1943. He led the National Football League as a rookie with 830 rushing yards and was selected as a first-team All-Pro in 1936 and 1939. He was also selected to play in the Pro Bowl in 1938 and 1941 and helped lead the Giants to the 1938 NFL Championship and the 1939 and 1941 NFL Championship Games. Conradus Leemans
Conradus Leemans (24 April 1809 – 14 October 1893) was a Dutch Egyptologist. Early life Conradus Leemans was born in 1809 in Zalt-Bommel, Netherlands, and was the eldest son of physician Dr. Willem Leemans and Hillegonda Rachel Ganderheijden. His parents moved to Leiden, Netherlands, in 1821. Education Leemans enrolled at Leiden University in 1826 to study theology, but changed to archaeology in 1828 apparently after meeting with Caspar Reuvens. Leiden Museum In 1834 he was employed at the Leiden Museum and while there became successor to Reuvens as Director, during 1839. He continued in this capacity until sometime during 1891. Leemans organised the first public display of collections of acquisitions made by Reuvens, compiled a catalogue of Egyptian objects (Catalogue raisonnée, 1840), and edited the serial publication of the Monumens égyptiens, this being a lithographic account detailing the collection. Clint Leemans
Clint Leemans (born 15 September 1995) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club NAC Breda. Career Leemans began playing football in the youth of RKVVO in 1998, before moving to the PSV youth academy in 2003. Leemans made his professional debut as Jong PSV player in the second division on 20 September 2013 against FC Den Bosch in a 2–1 away defeat. He came in the field after 81 minutes for Rubén Bentancourt. He's also active as a Dutch youth international. He worked in a variety of genres, including orchestral and choral music, film scores, and songs, but is best known for his marches. Victor Leemans
Victor Leemans (21 July 1901 – 3 March 1971) was a Belgian sociologist, politician and prominent ideologist of the radical Flemish movement in the 1930s. A member of the militant organisation Verdinaso, he is seen by some as the main Flemish exponent of the historical phenomenon known as the Conservative Revolution. Leemans was born at Stekene, Flanders. He obtained his doctorate from the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris and lectured at the Catholic University of Leuven. In 1936, he was named president of the ''Arbeidsorde'', a Flemish fascist trade union closely tied to the Flemish National Union (VNV) and Rex-Vlaanderen. Ken Leemans (born 5 January 1983, in Vilvoorde) is a former Belgian footballer. Career Leemans is a midfielder who was born in Vilvoorde and made his debut in professional football, being part of the KV Mechelen squad in the 2000–01 season.
