Lee Yancey
Jeremy Lee Yancey (born July 29, 1968) is an American politician in Mississippi. He is currently a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 74th district. Early life Lee Yancey was born in Ripley, Mississippi, the son of Rex Yancey, a Southern Baptist pastor, and Ellon Yancey, a retired public schoolteacher. Yancey says he is an eighth generation Mississippian. . During his childhood, Yancey lived in Ripley, Tupelo, Pascagoula and Quitman. He graduated from Quitman High School in 1986, where he was selected Mr. Quitman High School and lettered in six sports. Yancey earned a B.A. in religion from Mississippi College in 1991 and a Master in Divinity in Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993. Rankin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The western border of the county is formed by the Pearl River. As of the 2010 census, the population was 141,617, making it the fourth-most populous county in Mississippi. The county seat is Brandon. Gregory Livingston Harper (born June 1, 1956) is a former American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2009 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party. Haley Reeves Barbour (born October 22, 1947) is an American attorney, politician, and lobbyist who served as the 63rd governor of Mississippi from 2004 to 2012. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as chairman of the Republican National Committee from 1993 to 1997. It is the second-oldest company in the state of Mississippi, and is one of the few newspapers in the nation that continues to circulate statewide. It is an operating division of Gannett River States Publishing Corporation, owned by Gannett. History The paper traces its roots to ''The Eastern Clarion,'' founded in Jasper County, Mississippi, in 1837. Later that year, it was sold and moved to Meridian, Mississippi. Michael D. Watson Jr. (born December 22, 1977) is an American politician and the incumbent Secretary of State of Mississippi. A Republican, he previously represented the 51st district in the Mississippi State Senate from 2008 to 2020. Career Watson is an attorney from Pascagoula, Mississippi. Michael Watson (born 15 March 1965) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1991. He held the Commonwealth middleweight title from 1989 to 1991, and challenged three times for a world title between 1990 and 1991.
