Lee Dae-Sung
Lee Dae-sung (born 30 May 1990) is a South Korean professional basketball player. He plays for Daegu KOGAS Pegasus in the Korean Basketball League and the South Korean national team. Early life Lee is a graduate of Samil Commercial High School, one of the province's most notable high school basketball programs. One of his contemporaries was Kim Min-goo, a year his junior, and they led the team to win the 2008 National High School Basketball Championship. He was named tournament MVP and won the Best Defensive Player award. College career Lee went on to Chung-Ang University where he was roommates with Kim Sun-hyung, his future national teammate. Korean Basketball League
The Korean Basketball League (KBL; ) is a professional men's basketball league in South Korea which was established in 1997. The league consists of ten teams and each team plays a total of 54 games (27 home and 27 away) in the regular season. History The Korean Basketball League was established in 1997. Kim Min-goo (basketball)
Kim Min-goo (born June 24, 1991) is a South Korea retired professional basketball player. He previously played for Jeonju KCC Egis, Wonju DB Promy and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus and represented South Korea at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship. At the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in Manila, he was named to the tournament's All-Star Team. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Conscription In South Korea
Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may voluntarily join the military. Establishment The basis for military conscription in South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which was promulgated on 17 July 1948. The constitution states in Article 39, "All citizens shall have the duty of national defense under the conditions as prescribed by Act." In addition, the conscription is defined and acted by the "Military Service Act" (병역법). Yang Dong-geun (basketball)
Yang Dong-geun (born September 14, 1981) is a South Korean retired basketball player for Ulsan Mobis Phoebus and the Korean national team, where he participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. During his sixteen-year career, he won the KBL Rookie of the Year and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in KBL four times. He spent his entire playing career with Ulsan Mobis Phoebus, having been at the forefront of Ulsan's dominance in the league from the early 2000's. 2013 Korean Basketball League Draft
The 2013 Korean Basketball League rookie draft (Korean: 2013 KBL 국내신인선수 드래프트) was held on September 30, 2013, at the Jamsil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.
