Lee Chark-tim
Lee Chark-tim, (, 23 December 1934 – 22 May 2007) was the president of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU), the largest trade union and pro-Beijing organ in Hong Kong from 1988 to 2000. Lee joined the Hong Kong and Kowloon Shoe Trade Workers Union in 1954 and became a member of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, the pro-Communist trade union in Hong Kong and was a member of the Committee of Hong Kong and Kowloon Compatriots from All Circles for Struggle Against British Hong Kong Persecution during the 1967 leftist riots against the British colonial rule. He was the president of the Federation from 1988 to 2000. Lee was the Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress until his death in 2007. He was also the member of the HKSAR Preparatory Committee which was responsible for the establishment of the HKSAR in 1997 and the Election Committee from 1996 to 2007. Hong Kong Federation Of Trade Unions
The Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU) is a pro-Beijing labour and political group established in 1948 in Hong Kong. It is the oldest and largest labour group in Hong Kong with over 420,000 members in 253 affiliates and associated trade unions. Presided by Ng Chau-pei and chaired by Kingsley Wong, it currently holds four seats in the Legislative Council and five seats in the District Councils. The HKFTU has long been seen as a satellite organisation of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC). It played a leading role in the 1967 riots against British rule in Hong Kong, which were suppressed by the colonial government. Cheng Yiu-tong GBM, JP (; born 14 October 1948 in Hong Kong) is a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong. He was appointed as the president of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions in April 2000. He is also the Hong Kong delegate to the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China. Pro-Beijing Camp
The pro-Beijing camp, pro-establishment camp, pro-government camp or pro-China camp refers to a political alignment in Hong Kong which generally supports the policies of the Beijing central government and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) towards Hong Kong. The term "pro-establishment camp" is regularly in use to label the broader segment of the Hong Kong political arena which has the closer relationship with the establishment, namely the governments of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). It is also labeled as the "Patriotic Front" by the pro-Beijing media and sometimes labeled as "loyalists" by the rival pro-democracy camp. Yeung Kwong ( zh, t=楊光; 1926 – 16 May 2015) was a Hong Kong trade unionist and labour rights activist. He served as chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU) from 1962 to 1980 and as its president from 1980 to 1988. The Grand Bauhinia Medal () is the highest award under the Hong Kong honours and awards system; it is to recognise the selected person's lifelong and highly significant contribution to the well-being of Hong Kong. The awardee is entitled to the postnominal letters GBM and the style The Honourable. The award was created in 1997 to replace the British honours system, following the transfer of sovereignty to the People's Republic of China and the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
