Lee-Roy Echteld
Lee-Roy Echteld (born 30 September 1968) is a Dutch professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player who is currently the head coach of Tweede Divisie club De Treffers. He most notably played for SC Heerenveen, Heerenveen as a midfielder. Playing career Echteld started playing football in youth departments of AFC Ajax, Ajax and AFC DWS, DWS in Amsterdam. He broke through to senior football in 1988 at HFC Haarlem and then played for SC Heerenveen, Heerenveen during a five-year spell. He also played briefly abroad with the French Ligue 1 club AS Cannes, Cannes and the Austrian club SC Austria Lustenau, Austria Lustenau. In 2001, he retired from football at Heracles Almelo. Echteld also played with the ''Suriprofs'', where he was allowed to participate because of his Surinamese descent. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. Chinese Surinamese people are Surinamese residents of ethnic Chinese origin. The earliest migrants came in the 19th century as indentured laborers; there was another wave of migration in the 1950s and 1960s. There were 7,885 Chinese in Suriname at the 2012 census, constituting 1.5% of the total population.
