Leavenworth, Omaha
Leavenworth is a neighborhood in the midtown region of Omaha, Nebraska. It is bounded by Harney Street to the north, 20th Street to the east, Leavenworth Street and Mason Street to the south, and Turner Boulevard to the west. Leavenworth is straddled by the Gerald R. Ford Expressway, roughly dividing the neighborhood into a business district in the east and a residential area in the west. The neighborhood is home to the Omaha Children's Museum, a popular attraction in the midtown area. Leavenworth is also home to the historic Mary Rogers Kimball House. Omaha Children's Museum
The Omaha Children's Museum is a nonprofit learning and exploration space for young people located at 500 South 20th Street in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. The museum has received a national award from the Association of Science and Technology Museums. About Operated as a private nonprofit organization the mission of Omaha Children's Museum is to engage the imagination and create excitement about learning. Interstate 480 (Nebraska–Iowa)
Interstate 480 (I-480) is a auxiliary Interstate Highway that connects I-80 in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska, with I-29 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The portion of I-480 in Nebraska has been named the Gerald R. Ford Expressway, named in honor of the former president, who was a native of Omaha. For most of its length, I-480 is overlapped by a US Highway; for with US Highway 75 (US 75) and for with US 6. I-480 includes the Grenville Dodge Memorial Bridge over the Missouri River. Midtown Crossing at Turner Park is a seven building, 16-acre mixed-use development in midtown Omaha, encompassing 297 condominiums, 196 apartment units, and fine and casual dining, entertainment and shopping. A majority of Midtown Crossing's restaurant and retailer partners are Omaha-born businesses, including Wohlner's Neighborhood Grocery & Deli and Garbo's Salon and Spa.
