Leangen Ishall is an indoor ice hockey arena located in Leangen, Trondheim, Norway. The capacity of the arena is 3,000 and it was opened in 1977. It is the home arena of the Nidaros ice hockey team. Trondheim Black Panthers
The Trondheim Black Panthers, founded 18 June 1986 as Trondheim Ishockeyklubb, is a defunct ice hockey club which was based in Trondheim, Norway. They played their home games in Leangen Ishall and were members of the highest ice hockey league in Norway from 1987 until 2008. During this time, they won the League Championship twice, in 1988–89 and 1991–92, and were twice runners-up in the Norwegian Ice Hockey Championship, in 1989 and 2005. The club folded on 3 March 2008 due to severe financial problems. The existing club Rosenborg then emerged as Trondheim's number one team. In March, 2010, Rosenborg IHKE was promoted to the GET-ligaen, but the senior department of the club is currently inactive following a bankruptcy in 2014.
