League Of Anti-Corruption Governors
The League of Anti-Corruption Governors ( es, Liga de Gobernantes Anticorrupción; LIGA) is a Colombian political movement, created in October 2019 by the former mayor of Bucaramanga, Rodolfo Hernández Suárez, and by the candidates for the 2020–2023 municipal council. It was conceived as an independent civic alternative to traditional political parties and ideologies, with the purpose of reaching the presidency of the republic in the 2022 election. Earlier, in the 2015 local elections, Rodolfo Hernández managed to reach the Mayor's Office of Bucaramanga through an independent candidacy via the "Movimiento Cívico Lógica Etica y Estética", previously founded by Hernández to support his political campaign. Rodolfo Hernández Suárez
Rodolfo Hernández Suárez (born 26 March 1945) is a Colombian politician, civil engineer, and businessman who served as a senator of Colombia from July to August 2022. He was mayor of Bucaramanga from 2016 until his resignation in 2019. As the nominee for the League of Anti-Corruption Governors (LIGA) coalition, Hernández placed second in the first round of the 2022 Colombian presidential election and he was ultimately defeated by Gustavo Petro in the second round run-off election. Hernández then accepted a senate seat offered to the runner-up in a presidential election and took office on 20 July. Equating his role in the senate to Lionel Messi as a goalkeeper, Hernández resigned his seat after serving for less than four months, citing incompatibility with the position. Marelen Castillo Torres (born 30 August 1968) is a Colombian teacher, biology and chemistry graduate, industrial engineer, and researcher. Gustavo Petro
Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego (; born 19 April 1960) is a Colombian economist, politician, and former guerrilla fighter who is the current president of Colombia since 2022.
