Lea Antonoplis
Lea Antonoplis (born January 20, 1959) is a former professional tennis player from the U.S. who won the Wimbledon Girls' Singles in 1977 and four WTA doubles titles. Early life Antonoplis attended Glendora High School from 1974 to 1977 and graduated from the University of Southern California. Tennis career In 1974, Lea played an exhibition match arranged by Dale Jensen in Claremont, Ca with Tracy Austin, Lawrence McCutcheon, and Elgin Baylor. Also in 1974, Antonoplis played in her first Grand Slam match at the US Open, losing to Sue Mappin in three sets. In the 1977 Wimbledon Championships, Antonoplis won the junior singles, beating compatriot Peanut Louie-Harper in the final in straight sets. In 1979, she won her first WTA doubles title in the Player's Canadian Open with Diane Evers, defeating Chris O'Neil and Mimmi Wikstedt 2–6, 6–1, 6–3. Chris O'Neil (tennis)
Christine O'Neil (born 19 March 1956) is an Australian former professional tennis player. O'Neil is best known for her singles victory at the 1978 Australian Open, and was the last Australian to win the title until Ashleigh Barty in 2022. She also became the first unseeded woman to win the title in the Open era. O'Neil is also one of the few players who have won both the Australian Open junior (1973) and senior (1978) titles. In 2007, along with her brothers Keith and William, O'Neil took over the Morisset Sports & Tennis Centre located in Newcastle, New South Wales. Dianne Evers (born 9 November 1956) is a retired female tennis player from Australia. With her partner Judy Chaloner, she won the 1979 Australian Open Doubles title and had a career high singles ranking of No. 42. Tennis career Evers began playing tennis at Lauriston Lawn Tennis Club in 1965 at the age of nine, and then at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club from 1967. Mareen "Peanut" Louie-Harper (born August 15, 1960) is a retired American tennis player, born in San Francisco, California to Ron and Alice Louie. She was a top-ranked junior tennis player and professional tennis player on the WTA tour. She reached a career high singles ranking of 19 in the world in 1985 and doubles ranking of 31 in the world in 1992. She is currently the co-founder and program director of Harper for Kids, a youth character development program. Sue Mappin
Sue Mappin (born 7 November 1947) is a former tennis player from Great Britain who was active in the 1960s and 1970s. Mappin won the British under-21 championships in 1966. During her career, Mappin competed at all four Grand Slam tournaments. Her best singles performance was reaching the third round at the 1974 US Open and the 1977 French Open. The second round was also her best result at the Australian Open which she achieved in 1975. In Grand Slam doubles, Mappin made it to the semifinals on three occasions; at the French Open in 1977 and at Wimbledon in 1976 and 1977, each time with compatriot Lesley Charles. He played 14 seasons as a forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers. Tracy Ann Austin Holt (born December 12, 1962) is an American former world No. 1 tennis player. She won three Grand Slam titles: the women's singles titles at the 1979 and 1981 US Opens, and the mixed doubles title at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships.
