Le Tréport-Mers Station
The Gare du Tréport-Mers is a railway station in the commune of Le Tréport in the Seine-Maritime department, France. It is only a few metres from Mers-les-Bains, which is in the Somme department. Railway service The Gare du Tréport-Mers is the terminus of the Paris–Beauvais– Abancourt–Le Tréport-Mers and the Abbeville–Le Tréport-Mers lines. The station is served by ATER X 73500, XGC X 76500 and on occasions modernised X 4630 rollingstock. Every Sunday it is also served by a Corail train connecting it to Paris Gare du Nord. Train services to Abbeville were discontinued in 2018. During the high season (from mid-June to the beginning of September), express TER Normandie trains run from Rouen on weekends and bank holidays and TER Hauts-de-France trains run from Laon and Amiens on Sundays and bank holidays. Le Tréport
Le Tréport () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in Normandy, France. Geography A small fishing port and light industrial town situated in the Pays de Caux, some northeast of Dieppe at the junction of the D 940, the D 78 and the D 1015 roads. The mouth of the river Bresle meets the English Channel here, in between the high () chalk cliffs and the pebbly beach. Le Tréport-Mers station has rail connections to Beauvais. Le Tréport is also a sea-side resort and home to a casino. History Le Tréport (the ancient ''Ulterior Portus'') was a port of some note in the Middle Ages and suffered from the English invasions. Dieppe station ( French: ''Gare de Dieppe'') is the train station for the town of Dieppe, Seine-Maritime and was built by Chemins de fer de Paris à Cherbourg on 28 July 1848. It used to have a direct connection with Paris-St. Lazare via Serqueux and Gisors, but this line was closed in 2006. Eu Station
The Gare d'Eu (Eu station) is a railway station in the commune of Eu in the Seine-Maritime department, France, in Normandy. It is the main station for Eu; the former Eu-la Mouillette was better located but served by only one rail line. History The station was previously called Gare d'Eu-La Chaussée or simply Gare de la Chaussée. It was opened by the Nord company on 11 May 1872 as part of the line between Longroy-Gamaches and Le Tréport-Mers. From 4 December 1888 when the line between Abbeville and Eu was opened, it was a transfer point for passengers travelling towards Dieppe. The line between Eu and Dieppe was closed on 2 October 1938 and has been partly turned into a footpath: ''le chemin vert du Petit Caux'' (Petit-Caux greenway). Dieppe (; Norman: ''Dgieppe'') is a coastal commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region of northern France. Dieppe is a seaport on the English Channel at the mouth of the river Arques. A regular ferry service runs to Newhaven in England. It became one of the most prominent architectural styles in the Western world. Amiens Station
Amiens station (locally known as: ''Gare du Nord'') is the main railway station for the Northern French city of Amiens. History The station opened on 15 March 1847 when the line to Abbeville started passenger operations. It was razed by German shelling in World War I, rebuilt, then destroyed again by the Allied forces during World War II and replaced by the present structure built in 1955 by Auguste Perret. A tower called the Tour Perret was built at the same time close to the station. The station district's buildings were collectively registered as a historic monument in 2004. Laon () is a city in the Aisne department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. History Early history The holy district of Laon, which rises a hundred metres above the otherwise flat Picardy plain, has always held strategic importance.
