Layers Of Love United
''Layers of Love United'' is the third album from Norton. It was the band's first record with Pedro Afonso on lead vocals. "Two Points" was a hit single and the song with most airplay on Antena 3 Radio Station during that year. The Japanese version of the album was released in June and has three acoustic bonus tracks. One of them is a version of " Paris", by the British band Friendly Fires. ''Layers of Love United'' was released on vinyl in 2012, in a limited edition, numbered and in white vinyl, which also includes "Paris" as a bonus track. In the same year the band released the EP ''Live Acoustic'', which has six songs from ''Layers of Love United'' played live acoustically, in a showcase in Lisbon, Portugal. Miguel Nicolau, Portuguese guitar player, plays as a guest musician on "Two Points", "Coastline" and "Layers". The cover art was made by Bráulio Amado. Norton is an indie rock band formed in Castelo Branco, Portugal. They have released five albums to date and toured all over Europe and Japan. History 2003: Make Me Sound E.P. In April 2003 the EP Make Me Sound'' was released and it is considered one of the records of the year by the local music press, in Portugal. ''Norton'' is the fourth album by Portuguese band Norton Norton may refer to: Places Norton, meaning 'north settlement' in Old English, is a common place name. The album was recorded at Golden Pony Studios, in Lisbon, Portugal. It was recorded and mixed by Eduardo Vinhas and Norton, and mastered by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering in Karlsruhe, Germany. Paris (Friendly Fires Song)
"Paris" is the second single by Friendly Fires taken from the band's self-titled debut album ''Friendly Fires''. The song features backing vocals from the members of the American indie pop trio Au Revoir Simone, and samples the song "Sun and Ice" from the album '' From Here We Go Sublime'' by The Field. Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires are an English indie rock band from St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently signed to XL Recordings. Their self-titled debut album was released on 1 September 2008, and was announced as one of the shortlisted twelve for the 2009 Mercury Prize on 21 July 2009. History Friendly Fires met at St Albans School. At the age of 13, in year eight and nine (the second or third year), the members formed their first band, a post-hardcore outfit called First Day Back, covering songs by Green Day and other rock-like artists, which existed until they began university.
