Lavasan
Lavasan ( fa, لواسان, also Romanized as ''Lavāsān'') is an affluent town in Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 28,558, in 7,645 families. The Jajrood River flows through Lavasan. Situated 11 kilometers northeast of Tehran, Lavasan is known for its excellent weather and the luxurious mansions. The city is home to many upper-class and wealthy families.Its beautiful mountains attract lots of campers and cyclists from around the country. Some Iranians call it the Beverly Hills or Switzerland of Tehran. Geography Lavasan is located 11 kilometres northeast of Tehran on the slopes of Alborz with an area of 70 square kilometres. The city of Lavasan is the capital of Lavasanat district. Together with Rudbar-e Qasran district and Shemiran, it constitutes Shemiranat County in Tehran Province. The natives of the Lavasanat district are of Caspian origin. The local dialect or "vernacular" spoken by its natives is a mix of Persian and Caspian. Shemiran
Shemirān ( fa, شمیران, , also Romanized as Shemīrān or Šemirân), also known as Shemirānāt ( fa, شمیرانات ) is the capital of Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran, but is actually located just north of the borders of Tehran County along Chamran Expressway and Sadr Expressway and it is the northernmost district of the city of Tehran. Shemiran lies in the slopes of Alborz Mountain and enjoys a suitable mild climate. It has fine and well-kept parks and is home to the richest class of Iranian society. Most of the foreign embassies and the Tehran International Fair are situated in Shemiran. It is also where Imam Zadeh Saleh is, and where the former home of Ruhollah Khomeini was located. Orchards
An orchard is an intentional plantation of trees or shrubs that is maintained for food production. Orchards comprise fruit- or nut-producing trees which are generally grown for commercial production. Lar National Park
Lar National Park (Persian پارک ملی لار ''park-e melli-e lar'') is a protected area in Mazandaran Province in northern Iran. Geography The park is in the Central Alborz mountain range, at the foot of Mount Damavand. It has been a national park since 1976 and a protected area since 1982 by the Iran Department of Environment. Since 1991 hunting has been prohibited. The Lar Dam and reservoir is located within the park. It is a major tourist attraction, being only northeast of Tehran. The park is accessible by car via Haraz road (Road 77). A caravanserai (or caravansary; ) was a roadside inn where travelers ( caravaners) could rest and recover from the day's journey. The War of the Cities was five series of air raids, missile attacks and artillery shellings on major cities and urban areas initiated by Saddam Hussein's Iraqi Air Force, with the aim of disrupting the morale of Iran during the Iran–Iraq War. The first phase of air strikes were undertaken by the Iraqi Air Force, which normally was followed by retaliation by Iranian Armed Forces. Iraq attacked major cities in the western half of Iran, including Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan and Shiraz, in addition to attacks to Iranian towns and cities close to the front.
