Laval Comets
The Laval Comets (french: Comètes de Laval) was a Canadian women's soccer team established in 2006 in the city of Laval, Quebec, Canada, a northern suburb of Montreal. The team was a member of the W-League, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team played its home games at the Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne. The club's colours were light blue and dark blue. History The Laval Comets is founded in 2005 by Pierre Marchand ( a businessman of Laval), following the demise of Montreal Xtreme (2004) and Dynamites de Laval (1997-2001). Pierre Marchand joins to 3 partners ( Montreal Impact, Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne, and the Fédération de soccer du Québec) who will allow to assure the team for period minimum of three years. Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne
The Centre sportif Bois-de-Boulogne is a soccer centre situated in the city of Laval, a suburb of Montreal, in the province of Quebec in Canada. Outdoor soccer fields The centre has six outdoor grounds (in the official dimensions of FIFA), among which two use synthetic turf. One of its grounds possesses terraces that can accommodate 1,000 supporters. Indoor soccer fields The building is completely made out of wood, with nine immense wooden arcs which establish the main part of the structure offer an immense free space. These arcs have a reach of 72 metres and rise up to 20 metres off the ground and represent an architectural feature. During the cold season of the winter, with the permanent indoor ground, an outside synthetic ground near the building is covered with a heated air-supported dome. Cindy Walsh (born September 13, 1979) is a Canadian retired soccer player who played as a defender. She has been a member of the Canada women's national team. College career She attended the University of Hartford, playing for the NCAA Division 1 Hartford Hawks on a full athletic scholarship. She started 80 games, missing only 3 because of emergency surgery to remove a ruptured appendix in 2000. Amandine Pierre-Louis (born February 18, 1995) is a Canadian soccer player who last played as a defender for French Division 1 Féminine club Rodez AF. Mélissa Busque
Mélissa Busque (born 18 February 1990) is a Canadian soccer player. Busque was born in Montreal, Quebec in Canada and played college soccer with Connecticut Huskies and also played with the Seattle Redhawks. She began her professional career with Ottawa Fury, before moving to Seattle Sounders in 2013. Between 2014 and 2015, Busque has had five spells with three clubs. Firstly joining Laval Comets in 2014, then leaving to sign for German Bundesliga club Herfoder SV before returning to Laval later that year.
