Lauri Bonacorsi
Lauri Bonacorsi (born January 17, 1993) is an American Ice dancing, ice dancer currently representing Italy with Francesco Fioretti. With former partner Travis Mager, she is the 2011 United States Figure Skating Championships, 2011 and 2012 United States Figure Skating Championships, 2012 U.S. Junior silver medalist. Career Bonacorsi began skating at age four. She moved from St. Louis, Missouri, to Plano, Texas, in 2007. She spent the 2007–08 season in search of a partner. Travis Mager found her on IcePartnerSearch and they tried out together in February and April 2008. Bonacorsi and Mager officially teamed up in late May 2008. She relocated to Maryland to train with him. Bonacorsi and Mager won the 2009 United States Figure Skating Championships, 2009 U.S. novice ice dancing title. 2011 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2011 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition during the 2010–11 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event crowned the World Junior Champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event took place in Gangneung, South Korea from 28 February to 6 March 2011. It was a qualification event for the figure skating events at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. Qualification The competition was open to skaters from ISU Member Nations who were at least 13 but not 19—or 21 for male pair skaters and ice dancers—before July 1, 2010 in their place of birth. Nana Mouskouri
Ioanna "Nana" Mouskouri ( el, Ιωάννα "Νάνα" Μούσχουρη ) (born 13 October 1934) is a Greek singer. Over the span of her career, she has released over 200 albums in at least twelve languages, including Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese and Corsican. Mouskouri became well known throughout Europe for the song "The White Rose of Athens", recorded first in German as "Weiße Rosen aus Athen" as an adaptation of her Greek song "" (''San sfyríxeis tris forés'', "When you whistle three times"). The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Skaters perform "a creative dance program blending dance steps and movements expressing the character/rhythm(s) of the dance music chosen by the couple".S&P/ID 2022, p. 143 Its duration is four minutes for senior ice dancers, and 3.5 minutes for juniors. Short Dance
The short dance (SD) was the first segment of an ice dancing competition from the 2010–2011 to the 2017–2018 seasons. It was approved in June 2010 by the International Skating Union (ISU). It merged the original dance (OD) and compulsory dance (CD), which were both discontinued. The ISU renamed the short dance to the rhythm dance (RD) in 2018. The SD was composed of two parts: the pattern dance (formerly known as the compulsory dance), which lasted about one minute and could be placed anywhere in the SD, and the creative section, which took up most of the SD. Marina Olegovna Zoueva or Zueva (russian: Марина Олеговна Зуева; born 9 April 1956) is a Russian figure skating coach, choreographer, and former competitor in ice dancing. Representing the Soviet Union with Andrei Vitman, she placed 5th at the 1977 World Championships and won two medals at Skate Canada International. Maurizio Margaglio
Maurizio Margaglio (; born 16 November 1974) is an Italian ice dancing coach and former competitor. With partner Barbara Fusar-Poli, he is the 2001 World champion, 2001 European champion, and 2002 Olympic bronze medalist. They won nine Italian titles and competed at three Olympics. Competitive career Margaglio began skating at age ten, directly in ice dancing. Early in his career, Margaglio was a three-time Italian junior champion with Claudia Frigoli. Barbara Fusar-Poli asked Margaglio to skate with her after her partner retired. He and Fusar-Poli began skating on the senior level in 1994-95, and enjoyed some success in the first years of their career, including winning several Grand Prix medals. Johnny Johns
Johnny Johns (born August 9, 1951) is an American figure skating coach and former competitor. Competing in ice dancing with Mary Campbell, he became the 1973 national champion and finished 6th at the 1973 World Championships. Competing as a pair skater with Melissa Militano, he became a two-time (1974 and 1975) U.S. national champion and finished 6th at the 1975 World Championships. Personal life Johns was born on August 9, 1951. He is from the Detroit area. For a number of years he split his time between skating and Little League Baseball, where he had developed the ability to pitch both left- and right-handed.
