Laura Roesler
Laura Roesler (born December 19, 1991) is an American middle distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres. She is currently coached by Rose Monday and based in Florida. High School career Roesler was a 22-time North Dakota state champion for Fargo South High School. She ran 2:06.82 as a semi-finalist to place 12th in the 800 metres at the 2008 United States Olympic Trials. Roesler placed 2nd in 2:07.41 behind Chanelle Price at the 2009 U20 USA Track and Field Championships. Roesler placed 2nd in 2:05.80 behind Ajee Wilson at the 2010 U20 USA Track and Field Championships. She earned a 9th place finish in the semi-finals at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics in 2:04.34. College career For college, Roesler chose to compete for the Oregon Ducks where she was a Five-Time NCAA Champion, 17-Time All-American, Three-Time Pac-12 Champion. All-America
The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. The designation is typically used at the collegiate level although, beginning in 1957, high school- athletes in football began being honored with All-America status, which then carried-over to other sports like basketball and cross-country running. Chanelle Price
Chanelle Price (born August 22, 1990) is an American middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run. She has a personal record of 1:59.10 for the distance. She was the gold medalist at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2014. Price represented the United States at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics and was a medalist at the 2009 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships and the 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics. In 2008, she ran the second fastest 800 m time ever for an American high school girl and was chosen as the High School Athlete of the Year. She attended the University of Tennessee and broke the world records for the distance medley relay and the 4×800-meter relay with the college team.
