''For other places with the same name, see Laudenbach (other)'' Laudenbach is a municipality in the Miltenberg district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany and a member of the ''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'' (Administrative Community) of Kleinheubach. History Since 1315 Laudenbach was owned by the imperial barons of Fechenbach. In the course of the reorganization of Germany under Napoleon, the place came to the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1810. With a contract of January 29, 1817, Laudenbach, together with the towns of Umpfenbach, Windischbuchen and Reichartshausen, came to the Kingdom of Bavaria in exchange for Dorndiel, Mosbach and Radheim from the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In 1862 the Miltenberg district office was formed, on whose administrative area Laudenbach was located. Laudenbach, Karlstadt
Laudenbach is a village in the Main-Spessart, Main-Spessart district of Lower Franconia, Bavaria, Germany, which belongs to the town of Karlstadt am Main. Laudenbach is situated opposite Karlstadt, on the left bank of the Main (river), Main, but was incorporated into the town administratively in 1978. The postcode is 97753. Laudenbach is attested historically from 1113. Around 1150 a defensive castle was built above the village, two towers of which can still be seen. The castle was destroyed in 1525, in the peasant's revolt, and subsequently the local peasants were required by way of reparation to build the new castle, a renaissance-style building near the river. Laudenbach used to have a significant Jewish community, who settled there at the time when the castle belonged to the Dukes of Wertheim am Main, Wertheim. Weikersheim is a town in the Main-Tauber district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History Town rights were granted to Weikersheim in 1313. As the one of the seats of the House of Hohenlohe, until 1756 Weikersheim's town center was dominated by Weikersheim Castle, residence of the Hohenlohe-Weikersheim line. During the process of German mediatization from 1806 to 1809, Weikersheim was awarded to the Kingdom of Württemberg, whose government assigned the city to . Pierre Fresnay (4 April 1897 – 9 January 1975) was a French stage and film actor. Biography Born Pierre Jules Louis Laudenbach, he was encouraged by his uncle, actor Claude Garry, to pursue a career in theater and film. He joined the company at what later was the Théatre de Paris, only to shortly after at the Conservatoire, becoming a pensionnaire of the Comédie-Française in early 1915, returning to it after three years military service in 1919.Obituary: Pierre Fresnay. Roland Laudenbach (20 October 1921 – 9 January 1991) was a French writer, editor, journalist, literary critic and scenarist. He had right-wing political beliefs aligned with the Action Française. After World War II he supported keeping Algeria part of France and saw the 1962 recognition of Algerian independence as a betrayal of the people by Christian and Socialist leaders.
