Lattin–Cullen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club which represents the parish villages of Lattin, County Tipperary, Lattin and Cullen, County Tipperary, Cullen in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club plays at Hannon GAA Park (opened 2009) which is situated in the village of Lattin, and is an affiliate club of the West Tipperary GAA division. The club has traditionally has been one of the top three senior football clubs in the West Tipperary GAA Division. The club also plays hurling up to the Intermediate grade. Lattin, County Tipperary
Lattin () is a village and civil parish in south County Tipperary in Ireland. It is within the historical barony of Clanwilliam, and is also one half of the 'Lattin and Cullen' parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Lattin village is located on the R515 regional road between the towns of Emly and Tipperary. History Evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes an ancient burial mound (a barrow-mound) just east of the village, which can be clearly seen from the Emly/Tipperary road. Cullen () is a rural village in County Tipperary, Ireland. The centre of the village is located at a junction of two roads in south Tipperary. These roads lead to Monard, Lattin, the "Rocky Road" and Oola respectively. Name The village was traditionally believed to have taken its name from the holly (Irish ''cuileann''), although an Irish legend claimed that Fionn Mac Cumhail killed a hero named Cuileann, son of Morna at this site in the 3rd century AD. Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1979 for the third-tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October. The championship has always been played on a regional basis, whereby the respective champions from the Mid, North, South and West championships contest the county series of games. However, in recent years, the championship has followed the same system as the senior grade in Tipperary. Currently (2018) there are 21 teams in the county championship divided up into 6 groups (3 groups with 4 teams, 3 groups with 3 teams). Nicky English
Nicholas J. "Nicky" English (born 20 October 1962) is an Irish former hurler who played as a full-forward at senior level for the Tipperary county team. Born in Cullen, County Tipperary, English first played competitive Gaelic games during his schooling at the Abbey CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams as a dual player, before later joining the under-21 sides. He made his senior debut during the 1982 championship. English went on to play a key part for almost fifteen years, and won two All-Ireland medals, five Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. Ger Maguire
Ger Maguire (born 1973) is an Irish retired hurler and Gaelic footballer who play as a full-forward for the Tipperary senior teams. Born in Cullen, County Tipperary, Maguire first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team, before later joining the under-21 teams as a dual player as well as the junior and intermediate hurling sides. He joined the senior panels as a dual player during the 1995 championship. Maguire remained as a peripheral player on both teams for a number of seasons, winning one National Hurling League medal. At club level Maguire is a one-time intermediate championship medallist with Lattin–Cullen. In retirement from playing Maguire became involved in team management.
